Margaret Thatcher, the first female British Prime Minister who gained worldwide renowned as the Iron Lady has died aged 87.

Developing a formidable partnership with President Ronald Reagan during the 1980s, Mrs. Thatcher stood up to the 'Evil Empire' of the Soviet Union, eventually witnessing its collapse.

Her spokesman Lord Bell revealed the news that the former politician had passed away after a long battle with poor health.
