She can go to the ER and complain of terrible pain in her chest and back. They'll put her on patient assistance and do it the next day. They treat gall bladder disease as an emergency surgery, it's not something they're going to send you home with pain meds and a referral to a specialist.
Would she have to pay for most of it out of pocket though? Ramsey may be stupid but I don't think she's dirt poor or anything.
Well I guess that would depend on her assets and income. If she's a single mom on unemployment she might even qualify for Medicaid. The worst it could do is go on her credit, which I don't know, that might be better than sitting around with a bum gallbladder.
