My emo niece has been with me in San Francisco for 3 months now. I love the girl so much that it hurts sometimes, but she's a ROYAL pain in the ass.
Trust me, she works the unconditional love for all it's worth. But, she's a good person; I'm really proud of her.
Anyway, since she's doing so well in her first semester at SFCC , I agree to go with her to see a band she's seen a couple of times in LA, on a school night; tell her that I'm happy to be the old broad in the hat sittin' in the corner downing cocktails while the youngsters do their thing.
Hahaha. Turns out, though it's been many years, I know the bouncer, the bartender, and you modern day "darker music" guys are actually a warmly cool sort (same as it ever was). I really enjoyed the music, too.
Anyway, my niece loves this guy from the band and she's too emo shy to take a pic so I agree to let her take one of me with him first (I got a great one of her with him afterwards; she's so stoked). She's not a photography major, obviously.
Some shots from the show:
Fun night.
NAME THAT BAND, GUNNAR?
