Re-Trial Rulings Rendered
Yesterday, Judge Sherry Stephens made the following rulings:
-No live media coverage (tv, twitter, streaming, etc..) from the court room for the penalty re-trial, expected to last 2 months. Defense motion granted.
-The retrial will be conducted in Phoenix, despite the defense's contention that a change of venue would be required to get an unbiased jury for penalty retrial. Defense motion denied.
-Stephens will summons 400 potential jurors and weed out those who have pre-conceived notions regarding the appropriate sentencing for Arias. The jury will not be sequestered. Defense motion denied.
Still no date set for the re-trial.
