You must be joking. Not blame the officers? What the hell is wrong with you. They in NO way conducted themselves as officers of the law should conduct themselves. Their patrol car hadn't even come to a stop before shots were fired. They pulled right on top of that kid and never even gave him a moment to comply before he was shot. They then tackled his 14 yr. old sister and put her in handcuffs and threatened her with arrest. Fuck those cops and every single cop who is just like them and there are many. I hate that the world is full of people who think like you do.
Even Prosecutor McGinty acknowledges that the officers bear blame for Tamir's death.
He admits that there were mistakes made by all involved, including the communications to the responding officers. There was no way to deny that given video of the approach, the shooting and it's aftermath, and audio of the 911 call.
After 13 months of investigation and hiring multiple experts, McGinty however got a ruling that those mistakes do not constitute criminal conduct and called it 'a perfect storm of human error' that led to the tragic killing of Tamir Rice.
When he announced 'no indictment', McGinty stated that it was unclear if Tamir was reaching for the pellet gun to toss it down or to instead show the officers that it wasn't real. He didn't insist that Tamir failed to follow orders; he couldn't. Officer Garmback indicated in his initial statement that the windows were up, whereas Loehmann contended that he somehow yelled at Tamir three times to put his hands up from a rolled down window of the moving vehicle (in under two seconds).
