Alaska -- First Graders Busted for Murder Plot
Weird story. A group of first graders in Anchorage, Alaska were engaged in a feud with another first grader.
So, they decided to kill the child by using silica gel to poison his/her (not specified) lunch. Silica gel is the substance commonly found in product packaging.
Another classmate at the Winterberry School overhead the plot and told a teacher. The little would-be poisoners were questioned and admitted to the poison plot.
Well, contrary to what the first-graders believed, silica gel would not have killed their enemy. And, given that the children involved in the poison plot are too young to be held accountable for their intentions/actions, they won't face any legal repercussions.
Discipline was left up to the school district. An email to parents of first-graders in the class says it entailed "significant consequences", and it's since been reported that the children have been suspended.
Man, when I was in first grade, the worst kinds of revenge were sought with water balloons or garden rocks.
