Some aspects of what's happening there are strikingly similar to what's happening here in the lead up to our election.

I was listening to some people making comparisons yesterday. A Brit said the only difference was that they wouldn't get a do over in 4 years, this is forever. They also talked about how this would affect the war on terrorism and sharing information, there will be no more sharing, the UK are on their own. It was someone from NBC who said that, I can't recall who.
