Quite a lot of people hated Jews back then, you have to look at the mindset back then, That includes slavery. You just cannot compare any of it with today's thought process. Today gays are treated almost normally but even 20 years ago it was taboo, Rock Hudson is an example. People hated Jews back then because they stuck together and controlled a lot of banking money.
That's why when people from the 60's 70's that messed with under age girls today are considered perverts. When was the last time a Rock star was held accountable for their digressions back in the day? One reason is none of the girls ever came out and complained about it.
