ARE FUNERALS FREAKY?

Weirdest funeral I ever went to was an 18 year old girl who overdosed on drugs. She was the daughter of a friend of my dad and I knew her since she was a little kid. She had naturally straight jet black hair and it the coffin her hair was platinum blonde and appeared to be permed. The mother kept fixing her hair and telling her two sons to stop hugging her because they were messing it up.

One of the saddest funeral wakes I went to was that of a woman who worked for me.

The wake was for her "22" year old son, who she worked so hard for several years to get him off drugs . The Drugs won.

When I walked in the funeral home, she walked up and greeted me at the door, I offered her my deepest condolences.

So then she says, you never met my son, come and meet him, we walked down the room to him in his casket.

This is my handsome son Mike she said, (he was so unbelievably handsome he could have been a male model) the way

she introduced me to him like he was alive just got to me and I choked up. So very very sad, fucking drugs!

I'm not one to cry too much, but that would have gotten to me too. My dad died of a drug overdose, he was 47. As upset as I was about it, when we were at his funeral I heard my grandma who was going senile whisper to my grandpa that he looks better now than when he was alive. I started laughing and people probably thought I was an asshole laughing at my own father's funeral. He had long hair and a long gray beard and my grandma hated it. I guess they trimmed it up a bit, and for some reason it struck me as so funny. Laughing between crying is always good I guess.
