There is a Greek bakery here that an old Greek woman owns and operates on her own. She’s probably close to 80 and makes everything from scratch. The cheese pie and stuffed cabbage rolls she makes are amazing. I’ll ask her about the eggplant next time. She has a bunch of Greek cookbooks and I can literally point to anything in there and she says “yes honey, I make it and you pick up tomorrow”. She’s the best, I wish she was my grandma.
