I know they are looking at it from the perspective that they paid their debt, that's because the system is fucked. I thought about if my own 10 year old kid did something like that and I honestly think I'd be ok with them spending the rest of their life in prison. I don't think they can be rehabilitated and even if they can who gives a fuck. You tortured and killed a baby for shits and giggles, now you have the rest of your life to reflect upon it while you sit in a cell. That's it.
