I was really hoping to see a big, fat square or two of snow hit him right in the face and yet, it didn't.

Clever contraption.

I kept waiting for that also. We had chains that were used a long time ago by 2 people to clear the snow.
Now they mostly just let it pile up and force people to walk around the buildings safely.
I spent all winter trying to capture a roofalanche on video and only managed to capture one.
