$150 is pretty cheap for production. I don't know anything about the distribution/air time costs for this ad, which are typically the most expensive parts of a television advertising campaign (especially on the national level).

Anyway, I think it's a nice ad and the kid is a cutie.  

But, I don't get your point.  Why should businesses that spend more on holiday advertisements be ashamed of themselves in a capitalist society? It doesn't bother me if they spend more to make more or whatever.  It's private businessess' money/profit to spend as they see fit.

What I think is shameful is the huge influence of corporate money on politics, and false advertisements that actually mislead and hurt consumers, and shit like that.
