Atlanta (CNN) -- At least one suspected tornado struck the northern suburbs of Atlanta as the remnants of Tropical Storm Lee passed over the area Monday afternoon, inflicting an undetermined amount of damage, authorities reported.
The National Weather Service issued a series of tornado warnings for the area starting around 2:30 p.m. Tornado sightings were reported near the town of Powder Springs, about 20 miles northwest of downtown Atlanta, and in Woodstock, about 30 miles north of the city center.
