Weather, partly cloudy...highs in the upper 60's (I'm giving you everything, dammit).

I'm leaning towards wearing a burgundy dress but I like the fit of the black one better. :

I'm really liking shawls a lot these days. There are lovely ones for black tie events and an evening like the one you're about to experience & there are some that look great with jeans & a cami. These ARE NOT our grandmother's shawls.

Go with the black simply because you like the fit better, you know that kind of thing has the power to effect your frame of mind.
