Just to make things clear - "property of" means way more than getting bossed around. You are literally property to have anyone in the club do with as they please. You are their whore, punching bag and anything else they deem to make you that day - this goes for whatever man or woman says so. You are subserviant to whomever you "belong to".
That ALONE was enough for me to not get involved with anyone in a club and be 'let in'. I ride alone. I belong to no one. I follow no one and never wear colors. I've got the respect of plenty and never need to watch my back among other bikers.
"someone" told me differently when asked why I am not affiliated with any club- said it means you've got 'protection' for life from the club - maybe it's different in HER club but somehow I do not think so. None of my biker friends would agree when I asked them if that definition was true.
