Cowards Who Prey on Animals

The only thing that allows me to continue eating meat is 1) knowing that the animals are being raised for food and 2) avoiding any and all knowledge regarding the slaughtering process. Head--->sand.

I once saw a pig shot for a bbq and I damn near fainted. Needless to say, I didn't partake when the pig was done roasting.

I have SOME limitations (and they're senseless but they're mine). I don't eat veal or lamb and I buy "cage free" or free range chickens/eggs. Oh and no foie gras.

It is somewhat hypocritical but Cecil was killed for fun as far as I know. That bugs me. Same with people taking their anger out on animals that aren't going to fight back (like the dog/tape). That's just cruel/senseless.

This is kinda how I feel. Don't get me wrong, I think the dentist is a cunt. Do I want to drive over there and 'put tape around his dick until it falls off'? Probably not.

If you eat or use animal products, you are preying on animals. Just own that shit. I almost laugh when I hear people try to justify it to themselves, and others, with 'I use the whole animal, to respect it', shit I've probably said it myself in the past.

If you get diwn to brass tacks, you raised a defenceless creature to kill it and eat it. You hunted a wild animal out of its habitat to kill it and eat it. But because I ate 89.86% of it, it's ok to hang its head on the wall of my great room.

Whoa hang in there, we need food to survive? Yep, but we can survive without eating meat. Millions of vegans are doing it every day.

Yep, I eat meat. I know that some of the pork I eat probably comes from sources who have less than perfect conditions for growing and slaughtering their animals. My beef too. A plethora of harmless sea creatures were probably caught in a net, died and were discarded so I could have that tuna sandwich.

I can own that, for now, because I like meat. I like the taste. I don't have to watch it die before I eat it. I don't have to cut the sheeps throat and watch it bleed out. I don't have to hear the three days of bellowing from a cow that just lost her calf, so make me up that milkshake. I've done it before; slaughtered and butchered animals. Just prefer not to now, but still enjoy eating them. Maybe that makes me the coward..
