Missing Jessica Heeringa, Norton Shores, Mich
#33
"HIGH PRIORITY TIPS" Received

NORTON SHORES, MI – Investigators are chasing down “high priority tips” they received over the weekend in connection to the Jessica Heeringa abduction case, said Norton Shores Police Chief Dan Shaw.

Shaw declined to give details about the information authorities received, but said they consider it “high priority” and on Sunday, May 19, investigators began to actively investigate them.

“We just have to figure out what’s true and what’s not. There are a couple tips that the guys are actively investigating since Sunday. Hopefully, we’re getting closer. Every piece of information we get is beneficial,” Shaw said.

“We are starting to get more information this morning. We’re moving forward. It’s all we can do," he added.

Hoping these tips lead to Jessica.

Shaw doesn't sound overly confident in this interview, but he may just not want to get hopes up prematurely.

Note/Correction: It was 3 weeks that Jessica's been missing as of last Friday, not a month as I previously noted.
