Too bad, I was hoping Carrie Fisher would survive the heart attack. RIP.
Don't be so hard on people who are surprised, or everyone who's supposedly 'shocked', by the death of George Michael, aussie. Seems a lot of people were taken by surprise when Carrie Fisher had a heart attack last week too.
Just because they both had a history of being very troubled, promiscuous, talented people with serious addictions.......doesn't mean they were destined to die so relatively young (Keith Richards is still doing it like he needs the money, FCS).
Anyway, neither of them had been in trouble publicly in a long time, each was blatantly honest about his and her issues in recent years, and both had gone through intensive rehabs in attempt to manage their disease.
So, I think people, in general, hoped for them both to succeed and stay around longer -- just like people hope when it comes to the not-famous addicts in their worlds.
