Daryl Dragon of 70s singing duo Captain And Tennille has died at the age of 76.
The musician's publicist told TMZ he died of renal failure in Arizona, where he was in hospice care, with his ex-wife Toni Tennille at his side.
Daryl was known as the cap-wearing Captain who teamed up with then-wife Toni on 70s hits including the Grammy Record Of The Year winning Love Will Keep Us Together and Muskrat Love (god I hate that rat song).
The two married in 1975 and divorced in 2014, but remained close friends.
Los Angeles-born Daryl was a classically trained musician, who got his start in show business as a keyboard player for The Beach Boys.
Rest in peace.
