I've got this image about how the Safeway bust went down.

Ryan Bundy ^: Hey Ritz, listen up, brother. We been infiltrated. Medenbach's a government plant. People don't snore and pass gas that loud all night naturally; he's gotta be trying to weaken us intellectually by disrupting our sleep patterns. I say that with a perfectly straight face....well, you know what I mean.
Ritzheimer: I hear ya, brother. I been thinking on those same lines. Meddy can't be trusted. Twice now he took the bag of dicks into the john without signing them back in. And CobraZ told me he smelt barbecue pork rinds on Meddy's breath yesterday, man. Only THERE AIN'T NO BARBECUE RINDS on the incoming inventory list.
Bundy: Well, that seals it then, don't it? Put a couple of signs over the government writin' on them white vans near the gazebo. Then send Meddy on a secret mission to fetch more hair conditioner from that Safeway next to the donut shop where the lawmen hang out. As soon as Meddy reports in from the destination, put on that girly voice you was doin' for me last night and call over to the donut shop askin' about them vans with federal license plates settin' in the parking lot.

Or.......the boys just figured they had a Constitutional right to free government vans and didn't think twice about toolin' around in them.
