My black buddy Glenn told me something interesting the other day.
He said when he was driving an older Tahoe, with after-market 22"'rims on the truck, that he'd get profiled and pulled over all the time by cops here in the Twin Cities.
Most were harassing and looking for shit, but nothing ever turned into an ugly incident.
He bought a nice 2007 Mercedes about 4 years ago, and since then, he says he has t been pulled over once.
I asked him why.
He said he assumed cops thought he was a legitimate citizen with a job because he drove that car. He still lived in the same place, but his means of transportation had changed. That's it.
Still being profiled, but, in a positive way.
