The Petit case was horrific and terribly sad. That poor family lived through terror and hell for many hours. And, IMO the police were so far over their heads that they really missed an opportunity to save three lives while they waited silently outside the house.
I hope the victims in this case were not raped and tortured along with being brutally murdered like that; hope they went quickly.
The Savopolous' are said to have owned and displayed a very expensive art collection. Personally, I can't see stealing fine art as being a motive -- hard to fence. But, I am interested to learn what appears to be missing from the house and if there were any suspicious large withdrawals from their personal or business accounts recently.
