President Trump made a statement on Saturday denouncing violence "by all sides". He did not call out the hate-mongers specifically and received a lot of criticism from the public, Republican politicians, Democratic and Independent politicians, the media...

Today, Trump called out the hate-mongers specifically and strongly denounced the racist violence perpetrated by the "repugnant" Klan members and neo-Nazis who descended upon Charlottseville, along with denouncing racial hate-mongers in general.

Attorney General Sessions announced that an investigation into the matter is underway. It's being investigated by state and federal authorities. In addition to second degree murder charges filed by the state, Fields could face federal hate-crime and/or domestic terrorism charges.
