London Terror Attack Update

The suspected Islamist terrorist believed to have carried out the rampage outside Parliament that left three people dead was British-born and had been investigated by authorities, but wasn’t seen as “part of the current intelligence picture,” Prime Minister Theresa May said Thursday.

“Today we meet as normal, as generations have done before us and as future generations will continue to do, to deliver a simple message: We are not afraid and our resolve will never waver in the face of terrorism,” Mrs. May said. “And we meet here in the oldest of all parliaments because we know that democracy and the values it entails will always prevail.”

Twenty-nine people were in the hospital, seven of them in critical condition.

A Utah man visiting Europe was killed and his wife was seriously injured in the attack. Kurt Cochran and his wife, Melissa, were celebrating their 25th wedding anniversary, a family spokesman said. Melissa is currently in the hospital.
