I have a friend that is my age and was diagnosed with leukemia. The treatment for it was so aggressive that she had to stay in the hospital for almost two months. It's now in remission, but there is always that thought that it's going to come back.
Prior to that she had breast cancer and they found something on her ovaries too and did a hysterectomy. I think she's just one of those people with the cancer genes.
