the kids needing to be carried 24hrs a day just compounded the issues i already had. Also Rheumatoid runs in my dads side of the family. i guess brougjt on early by my work.

First congrats, second, sounds like you need to wear a back brace when carrying your little ones, just like you did (or should have) when carrying heavy industries stuff.
(Nurse that back now, before it continually gets worse with time.)
