I imagine the term came about like this:
A woman tweeted some incidental and trivial bullshit in an attempt to cast herself as a victim of some behaviour that was anecdotal arseholery and pretend it was a gendered pathology and virtue signaled with Feminist indignation, and several followed and posted similar virtue signal boosting attempts to be part of the oppression club of popular lounge chair Feminism, soon the word was invented and it took off.
If you head on over to twitter you will see the non-Feminist/victim-narrative-creators are posting for fun and laughs, have a look. go on!

I can see that the privileged Western World is marinating in a oppressive mire of their own imagination whilst never having it so good.
