I do garden. Veggies and herbs.
But . . . it's near 90 degrees so winter veggies will have to wait just a little longer. Basil, cilantro, chilis and tomatoes are hanging in there.
Fresh citrus is just around the corner - friends and neighbors have trees.
Your "peeling apples" story made me smile. I have two apple trees at my house in Colorado. Even after picking, every morning there would be at least a Rubbermaid container full of apples on the ground. This went on for about two weeks!
Even the damn deer got tired of them! So I started juicing and used the pulp for apple butter.
Talked to the folks who are leasing the place, just the other day. They wanted to know if I knew anyone in the area who wanted apples!
