One of my favorite all-time books is To Kill A Mockingbird. The movie is great too.
Turns out that Harper Lee wrote another novel before To Kill A Mockingbird and it's getting released tomorrow.
Go Set A Watchman centers around the Finch family too, but it takes place when Scout is a grown woman who's moved from Alabama to New York City. The pre-orders are the highest in history behind Harry Potter sequels.
The release has generated an enormous amount of publicity and buzz. Some Mockingbird-lovers are distressed by the revelations about Atticus who, according to media reps with early access to the first chapter, is portrayed as a racist who attended a KKK meeting and protested against desegregation.
I'm gonna read it.
