A federal district judge denied Brandon Joseph Rhode's motion to stop his execution, now scheduled for Friday night, said Ocmulgee Judicial Circuit District Attorney Fred Bright.
Rhode was set to be executed Friday at 9 a.m. but Dept. of Correction's Commissioner Brian Owens delayed that by 10 hours. The execution is now scheduled to happen Friday at 7 p.m., said Bright.
