~~trying to reason with hurricane season~~

Holy shit! Cell phones started screeching saying a tornado in our area and will be around till 10:45. 
We just got out of our walk-in closet, and saw on TV that we “had a tornado” just 4 miles away!
Cars strewn all over mangled, buildings ripped in half, trees ripped out of the ground, debris all over, 
Just unbelievable! So close, and still so far, We where so lucky, thank ya Jesus!

You could have ended up in Oz! 

My mom had one 2 miles away about 20 years ago. I think they had another one in the same location about 10 years ago, and another one 10 miles away 3 years ago. A nice reminder that we're not quite as powerful as we like to think we are.

No but we were. There was extensive lightning and bone rattling thunder that resonated (similar to heavy duty fireworks displays) within our bodies! We could feel the poring rain and noisy wind on our roof and windows. Being in our walk-in closet drove home the fact of the danger.
