Cracker . . . you’re pure genius! It’s not Herman’s-style, but you got me thinking . . .
“Add a teaspoon of sugar.”
It’s ALIVE!
For you minimalists, here is the recipe I use for my starter’s feeding “excess”.
Alaskan Sourdough Waffles:
Start heating the waffle iron(s):
3 cups of active sourdough starter at room temperature
2 Eggs
2 Tbls. Sugar
½ tsp. Salt
3 Tbls. Oil
Mix ingredients with a non-reactive “stirrer” (I use a wooden spoon or a silicon spatula)
Mix 1 tsp. of Baking SODA with 1 ounce of warm water.
Fold into batter.
Use IMMEDIATELY.
LC - Down to once a week therapy. Thanks for the ask.
BTW - I hate both you and Maggot. Syrup braggarts!
