Police to conduct canvass on anniversary of Skelton boys' disappearance

MORENCI, Mich. —
State and local police will be conducting a "road canvass" in the early morning hours of Friday, Nov. 25, in the hopes of gleaning new tips about the disappearance of Andrew, Alexander and Tanner Skelton over Thanksgiving weekend last year.
Motorists passing through the intersection of U.S. 127 and Morenci Road between 4 a.m. and 7 a.m. will be handed a flyer and encouraged to contact the Morenci Police Department at 517-458-7104 with any information. The flyers will be distributed by Morenci police officers and Michigan State Police troopers.
The canvass is timed to coincide with the hours that police believe the boys' father, John Skelton, was driving in that general area one year earlier to the day.
Police are also renewing their request for people in the area to remain vigilant as farmers harvest their crops and hunters go out into the woods. Anyone who locates anything unusual is asked to contact their local police immediately.
