Suffocation is not a widely used method of homicide, it almost sounds like they were asking questions of one while the other was having the plastic put over their head and tied off, I figure the perps got whatever info they needed and then suffocated the other one as a witness to the death of the first.
LC is right it is sloppy and I would imagine that the scene is ripe with DNA and fiber evidence, will it lead anywhere? it could if one of the two or three people I see doing the crime has been to prison in the last 10 years? if not then DNA becomes a less viable form of evidence than what LE would like the population to believe.
This case will hinge on the bragging of one of the involved at a later date it's inevitable for the age group it's all about getting cred for an act of violence.
