Search warrant shows Springfield Township victim’s wrists and ankles bound
A search warrant filed by detectives in Lucas County Common Pleas Court showed that Johnny S. Clarke, 21 — one of the victims in a double homicide this week — had both his ankles and wrists bound with duct tape.
Killed in Springfield Township was Lisa Straub, 20, and her boyfriend, Clarke, who had been living with the Straubs at their home. Both were asphyxiated with plastic bags tied around their necks.
Clarke’s wrists and ankles were bound with duct tape, while Miss Straub’s wrists were bound with duct tape.
Investigators seized a variety of items from the home after the victims’ bodies were found about 3:50 a.m. Monday — cell phones, wallets, articles of clothing, computers, and other items from which they hoped to lift fingerprints.
FBI agents were assisting the sheriff’s office with the investigation.
