Johnny S. Clarke & Lisa Straub- young Ohio couple murdered

First off, since this is my first post I might ramble a little bit to include all my thoughts.

Sadly, I have to agree with you on this. (the above area in bold)

my statement comes not from conjecture but directly from talking to people who live there today, as we speak.

my brother's home is less than five miles from the scene. parent's home less than eight. both of those homes have high-end security systems, neither of them were ever activated at night prior to this crime, neither of them are activated at night now as a result of it.

Your brothers house is less then 5 miles from the scene? You parents less than 8? Congrats. My house is about 300 YARDS from the scene. We've always had an alarm system - we've always used said alarm system. We've always locked our doors. Right now I'm off at college, but when I am at home I drive by this house EVERYDAY and everytime I go somewhere.


And to the people who keep calling this neighborhood upscale or thinking this is a rich neighborhood, it is not. Of course there might be a few more well off than others, I would not call this a 'rich' neighborhood.


Pinky - your 'theory' is a pretty bad theory. You keep saying that it has not been proven wrong, but neither have any other theories. Right now, your theory makes the least amount of sense. I doubt a 21 year old was in deep enough shit to have someone call in a professional hit from a big city, and then saying that they are sitting on a beach somewhere now - this kind of stuff doesn't happen in Toledo. I also think it is you who has said a few times that no one in Toledo can keep a secret, so if there was any info it would have been leaked; I doubt that. Just because no info has been leaked does not mean that LE has no info. And to say that this case has been put into "long-term storage" already is ignorant. It was a close family member (I believe) who said that Mr. Z was scheduled for a poly test tomorrow. They just did a search warrant on Thursday and got some more evidence/DNA. It hasn't even been a WEEK yet. They are still gathering facts and interviewing people. Your theory makes absolutely 0 sense.

Thank you Ohio guy, my few posts from earlier that Pink has ruled as false conjecture are absolutely true and not rumors. One yes a family member that is on Lisa's side has confirmed that it was a very, violent crime scene with evidence of a massive struggle and infact, YES a great deal of DNA has been collected, A Lot from Lisa's body alone. It is my real and not imagined knowledge from that family member that the likelihood is that this was pre-meditated, the perps were known and it was indeed personal. I also notice all the comments regarding the lack of statement from Lisa's family, this is not true. Her uncle has been on local and national news and was on Nancy Grace on Friday night speaking on behalf of the Straub family. Her parents are handling this in a way much different from the Clarke's because they are more focused on their daughter's loss and ensuring that their opinions, accusations or statements do not interfere with the LE investigation. Whereas not to be cruel to a woman in grief, all JC's moms ranting appears a little more self-serving than supportive of LE and the investigation. The Straub family are very kind and educated people who realize it is better to stay quiet and let LE do their job. LS's uncle was chosen to speak because he has been the Rossford Fire Chief for 12 years and is familiar with and respective of the investigation process. So her family has not remained quiet, they have just handled it in a prudent and respectful manner. They respect and have trust in LE and are confident this case will be solved. They have done the right thing, fully cooperated with police and instead of trying to get publicity for their pain, remained silent and cooperative in ensuring that the killer(S) of these two young people be brought to justice. Lisa's family is very loving and are great people, I feel that needed to be stated due to the many inquiries into "where they are".... when in fact, her uncle Jim Verbosky has been all over the media trying to do everything in his power to catch these evil criminals.

So, the appearances about the kind of family that Lisa came from are true. Do you happen to know if I am right about Johhny NOT living there? I cannot imagine they would have allowed it, for several reasons.

It's so sad. The truth is that even good families can't protect their kids from bad judgement. Lisa was young, Johnny probably had charm, and meeting him cost her her life.
