Another thing that seems strange to me is the claim that Mother's "intuition" told her that something was wrong.
If someone calls you and tells you that TWO HOURS AND TWENTY MINUTES AGO your son was heard shouting that he was encountering unknown persons having intruded into the house, and the informant hasn't been able to reach him since, you don't need "intuition" to know that something terribly wrong may have occurred.
Why call this intuition?
