Family of Springfield Twp. murder victim sets up reward fund

The family of Lisa Straub on Wednesday set up a fund at Fifth Third Bank where donations may be made toward a reward for information leading to the arrest of the people responsible for the murder of her and her boyfriend.
Miss Straub, 20, and Johnny S. Clarke, 21, were found asphyxiated with plastic bags over their heads in the Straubs' Longacre Lane home in Springfield Township Jan. 31. Investigators say they believe the two were killed in a robbery attempt at the home.
Straub family spokesman Jim Verbosky, Miss Straub's uncle, said her funeral was held Wednesday morning at St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Church. He said a number of people have contacted the family wanting to make donations toward a reward in the case so the family has set up the “Lisa Straub Benefit Fund.” Donations may be made at any Fifth Third Bank branch.
Visitation for Clarke will be held from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at Blanchard-Strabler Funeral Home where a memorial service is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday.
