Crimestory: "ransacking".My opinion is that she tried to make this fit into her false story. Lady Cop, is it true that most people try to incorporate some true things in the false stories they tell LE about crimes because it is easier to remember/stick to a story? I thought I read that somewhere...that there is usually a sembelence of truth in a fake story... sorry if I am wrong

yes, people will do that to account for any evidence they know you've got. they twist and wriggle and lie like rugs with some truth interjected. a good interrogator will weasel it out of them with incisive verbal skills.
