Just to throw it out there, I live in the area and my mom's funeral had a police escort because the procession was so large. Also, I see people talking about how quiet this area was where LS parents lived. Yes it was a nice subdivision, (certainly not upper class like I've seen mentioned, her parents house was only about 1800 sq ft) but Springfield HS was known for its gangs, at least it was when I was in HS. There were definitely a lot of what I would call "thugs" at that school, so honestly, it's not like they came from inner city Toledo out to LS parents neighborhood. I think, like someone else said, the reason I'm so taken with this case is because of the seemingly normal life LS was brought up. I can see the thrill of running with a crowd like Johnny's, I briefly did it in HS too, but I also quickly realized I didn't want to die lol. I'm also completely appalled by the amount of dead people/people in jail that TW seems to know.
