The point I was making was that 3 thugs robbing someone wasn't even a blip on the crime scene here. It was not a high profile case then. I can't remember who said before that Jon Richardson would hardly be called the best...but he was. Also, Highly respected within the legal community, and hi retainer. There are certain lawyers that can still command that kind of money...maybe 2 or 3 tops. As far as the state paying defense attys...I don't know about that. I've never heard any of the lawyers state that and why would the state pay? This is County business...the county hires them, but they don't get that much from them in the scheme of things. This county...this entire state is BROKE...truly. I know that Jon R and J Potts charge at least 250 and hour, (unless they've dropped their prices) and minimum retainer in the thousands. I jsut figured that all that money he and his "bros" and Tiffany also was flashing, helped with his defense....

I'm fairly stunned about this. Let's see, he had a TRO against him from the family, he alledgedly punched her friend in the stomach, and beat her to where people have claimed on this board that they SAW her beaten, and they have photos of him at the funeral?? Seriously? I see that being wrong on so many levels. The girl lies dead in a casket because of the violence and people she surrounded herself with, and they have pics of her and ANOTHER MAN WHO WAS PHYSICALLY VIOLENT AND STALKING HER at her funeral?? I might be in the minority, but WTF were people thinking? That would be the damn day I would put pics of my daughter and an abusive ex up at her funeral! Jesus. And we wonder why the abuse and degradation of woman continues in this country?? I am really upset that they did that if its true, and please don't post soemthing as trite as "Well, they really loved each other TILL HE BEAT THE SHIT OUT OF HER, they were a great coupld TILL HER PARENTS TOOK OUT A TRO on him for harrassment and trespassing...UGH
