To the folks in the Toledo area-

Is anyone or group raising a "hue and a cry" against LE to solve this case?

Any editorials in print, on air or TV commenting on LE's apparent stalled investigation?

Or are you folks satisfied that things are progressing appropriately and this is "business as usual"?

My frustration lies with the local media. You stand outside the sheriff's department if phone calls are going unreturned and wait for Detective A or Detective B to leave and ask them for an update. At this point I would be satisfied with a "no comment at this time" from LE. At least local media would actually then give the impression they are investigating this news item.
