Toledo is a dirty little hell hole. At least the location I grew up there. I grew up on the south side and attended the same high school that Johnny attended. If you ever get the chance to visit Toledo, quickly punch the person in the face who gave you the opportunity, and RUN!
You lived in and went to Bowsher district? I'm curious what area of that you found a hell hole. Just curious. I'm glad for you if you are happy where you are now.
It's all a matter of perspective and memory. Remember what Gloria Steinem wrote about Toledo. Many people including myself disagreed with her, but that's the way she saw it even back then.
I'm trying to give you all a perspective from someone who was born and raised in the same area as Johnny, as I believe this crime was a result of his aquaintances, not Lisa's (of course it could've been somone that they both know, but was mainly his friend).
People in Toledo have a certain mindset for survivial. I'm trying to provide some knowledge and insight as someone in that mindset.
Well said TN! And 150% spot-on. This is exactly what I was saying about 40 pages ago when I said that TW is a product of her environment. Toledo is not full of "wannabes" in the sense that they talk the talk and can't walk the walk because they WILL walk! Kids like TW and AP have nothing better to look forward to. This is it for them. They act all crazy and fearless by posting their business for the world to see on different social media outlets and think this makes them tough and will earn them respect.
As a side note - this 475 entertainment stuff is some scary shit! Who starts a company with those slogans and wears those clothes in public and does not have LE following them daily? This just shows the ignorance of the city. Yeah, yeah, there are exceptions of course, but no one who will challenge these "wannabes." Would you?
