i think whoever that was at party night before heard about a safe with huge wads of cash in it. they came back for that.
why the cruel murders, i haven't decided yet. except i think Johnny fought like a madman for his life and Lisa's. but he was fighting to protect the house from the invaders when it first started. it escalated.

LC, you have the law enforcement background, not me.
Tell me if I am wrong in thinking that it is vital to figure out why such a hateful, personal, torturous way chosen for the killing? If it was, "hey dude, grab those bags that are on the counter and look in the drawer for some tape", would be much different than the intruders bringing in the items with the intention of using this method of killing.
So find out why the method of killing was chosen, narrow down suspects?
