I remember that. Johnny's dad. Can't recall what it was on (news clip, I guess). I can see why he would say that because finding Johnny & Lisa in that condition, it would seem, would look so DELIBERATE. It's been my feeling all along that this was premeditated murder and I think the perps brought the tape.
If you found a family member (CHILD) in that position, would you even
think of where the duct tape and bags came from?
In this video (at about the 2:15 mark), Maytee says there were "bags with tape and stuff next to the body." I'd sure as heck be wondering where they came from.

Duchess -- I've also thought this was deliberate. Either revenge/hatred or someone sending a message (e.g., this is what happens if you cross me, don't pay your debt, snitch, move in on my turf, etc.). I had thought the case might be solved rather quickly because oftentimes these creeps talk before the crime about teaching someone a lesson, or brag about it afterwards. They may have said something, but the horrific killings may have accomplished its purpose and made people terrified to talk.
The robbery muddies things a bit - lots of good theories proposed about it though.
