I was also told that Maytee tried to get money from the Straubs in some elaborate scheme months before the murders. Also, a friend of mine who works in the restaurant business says some of the cooks (who purchased drugs from Johnny) were talking about how Johnny owed a lot of money (she didn't specify) for pills and cocaine. While obviously this is just heresay at this point, it is something to consider.
