The biggest question raised for me is the reference to "the house ransacked" as this would only explain the condition of the Master Bedroom that was not able to viewed from the outside of the house unless the person hoisted you 15 feet above their shoulders. Its possible someone had been in that house, saw what took place, and wanted police there but left first before notifying anyone else.
Or maybe the intent was to have Johnny's parents find the bodies first because they'd contaminate the scene when they tried to rescue/revive him and Lisa. Tiff may not have thought that Maytee would call 911 first, and she made sure she got John Sr to the house.
