And I also don't get the idea that if one believes Tiff is involved that she somehow missed an opportunity to save JC & LS. If she was in on it, saving them from dying would be a betrayal of the gang and she would be the next target. She would not be "riding hard" for her gang friends if she aligned herself with the victims.
I don't think there are reluctant participants here. I think Tiff was either in it all the way or completely uninvolved.

Most with an intent to kill don't usually use plastic bags and duct tape, except maybe the wandering serial killer, they know they are going to kill and bring something that will do the job. I think they brought duct tape to restrain and then it went overboard, and a brand new sociopathic psycho was born. JMO
True, but in my mind the perps may have gotten this idea from a glorified movie, etc.
