So might you be implying that he was in with some really tough guys? And might I infere that if someone who is in with some really big criminals gets a reduced sentence he may look suspect. And the consequences for that could be severe?
There is mention of Federal authorities being involved with JCsr back in 1991. And there is a five year gap between 1992 and 1997 with no action on the TCM website. But that was a long time ago. I see no other gaps in time that come close to equally 5 years. And that is taking into acount the charges where the court dismissed them becasue they had the wrong man. So that would be 20 years ago?
I thinking that "dismissed because the police had the wrong man" may be whats is being view with suspicion and futhering the belief by "some" that he had a streak of the Benedict Arnold in him.
I have read the court documents. The defense subpoenaed a few people as witnesses. People with familiar names. And this was in 2010. The witnesses came to court and the judge dismissed it. Does not seem to be any hush hush about it. However, maybe those individuals that were served subpoenas weren't too pleased. I doubt it though. But the names remain the same one generation to the next. Or so it appears.
